Questions, answered.
The things people usually ask before working with us, answered straight, the way we'd want them answered.
General
What does DORQ actually do?
We design, build and automate digital systems for businesses: websites, web and mobile applications, eCommerce stores, brand design, growth marketing and AI automation. Think of us as one senior team covering everything between “we have an idea” and “it's running and growing.”
Where are you based? Do you work remotely?
We're based at 637 High Road Leytonstone, London, and we work with clients across the UK and worldwide. Most collaboration happens over video calls, shared documents and weekly demos, so distance has never been an issue.
What industries do you work with?
We're deliberately industry-agnostic: what matters is the problem, not the sector. That said, we do a lot of work with eCommerce brands, professional services, and businesses drowning in manual admin that automation can fix.
How quickly can we start?
Discovery calls usually happen within a few days of first contact. Project kick-off depends on our pipeline, but for most engagements we can start within one to three weeks, and we'll always tell you honestly if we can't.
Working with us
What does your process look like?
Six steps: Discover, Plan, Design, Develop, Launch, Grow. In practice that means we start by understanding your goals, agree a clear scope and timeline, design with intent, build with weekly clickable demos, launch carefully, and then keep improving the product with real data.
How long does a website or app take?
A focused marketing site typically takes 3–6 weeks. eCommerce builds run 4–10 weeks depending on complexity. Custom applications and SaaS products usually start at 8–12 weeks for a first release. Automations can ship in days. We'll give you a specific timeline before anything starts.
Can you work with our existing site, brand or codebase?
Yes. You don't need to start from scratch to work with us. We regularly inherit existing codebases, refresh rather than rebuild brands, and improve sites other teams built. We'll audit what exists and tell you honestly what's worth keeping.
How do we communicate during a project?
You get a single point of contact, a shared channel (Slack, WhatsApp or email, your choice), and a demo every week where you see real progress. No status theatre, no surprises.
Pricing & support
How do you price projects?
Fixed quotes for defined scopes, agreed before work starts, with no surprise invoices. For ongoing work like growth marketing or support, we work on simple monthly retainers you can cancel anytime. If scope changes mid-project, we agree the change in writing first.
What are your payment terms?
Typically a deposit to book the work, with the balance split across milestones for larger projects. We'll agree the exact schedule in your proposal, and we never hold your website or code hostage over an invoice dispute.
What happens after launch?
Every project includes a post-launch support window for fixes and tweaks. After that, most clients move to a light monthly care plan (updates, monitoring, backups and small improvements) or simply call us when they need us. Both are fine.
Who owns the website, code and accounts?
You do. Domains, hosting, code repositories, analytics, ad accounts: everything is set up in your name from day one. If we ever part ways, you lose nothing but our company.
